The Lions Coach Sir Rudolph Naidoo acknowledged the fact that they are drawn to take on against the underdog teams since they are in Pool D with Vhembe from Limpopo and with Tuks from Gauteng. The Coach of a newly established team from KZN confessed that their pool is not tight by far, however it will not be a walk in the park. “We are ready as Lions, we expected nothing less of our pools since it’s a competitive pool but we are looking forward to it”, said Coach Rudolf. He added that even if they win from the group stages they still expect to cross over to compete against experienced sides and previous winners of the Champions Cup.
One may wonder if the coach is already throwing a towel or he wants to approach the tourney as a dangerous and hungry lion in a sheep skin. Let us wait and see.
