South Africa is the host of the 5th Edition of the BRICS Games where the BRICS members like Brazil, China, Russia, India, and South Africa battle up against one another in various sporting codes like Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis, and Beach Volleyball.
On the Beach Volleyball side, it was a great opportunity for the newly appointed coach and the selected players to participate in this tourney of magnitude, bearing in mind that the coach was appointed to help VSA retain their number one spot in Africa. SA sent 4 teams both male and female to challenge teams from India, China, and Russia on their home soil.
It was a difficult day for the SA teams since they lost all the matches played on the first day of the competition. Even though the teams were thrown deep down into the ocean without enough preparation players were exposed to the highest level of Beach Volleyball competition.

The results of SA Teams in the girls’ category are as follows;
India 2-0 RSA 1, Russia 2-0 RSA 2, China
2-0 RSA 1, India 2-0 RSA 2, Russia 2-0 RSA 1, and China 2-0 RSA 2
Meanwhile, the Boy’s results are as follows;
India 2-0 RSA 1, Russia 2-0 RSA 2, China 2-0 RSA 1, India 2-0 RSA 2, Russia 2-0 RSA 1, and
China 2-0 RSA 2
Match Schedule
Day 2 will be used to wrap up group-stage matches Day 3 will be for the semi-final matches Day 4 is the last day of the tournament where 3rd/4th position and the final matches will take place.
