VSA takes pleasure informing our membership that the 2022 U19 Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT), for girls and boys will be hosted in Limpopo.
The details of the tournament are as follows:
DATES: 19 to 23 July 2022 (Tuesday to Saturday).
VENUE: NGOAKO RAMATLHODI Indoor Sports Complex, Seshego, north west of the city of Polokwane.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS: provinces will be provided with a comprehensive Competition Manual for the U19 championship. As the U19 IPT will also be used to select national squads for both genders, the following will be strictly adhered to:
• Foreign national will not be permitted to participate in this event.
• Provinces must scrutinise players’ Identity Documents: ID Books; Smart Cards or passports.
• Provinces must ensure that all players are bona fide South African citizens.
• In the unfortunate case where a province is unable to produce Identity Documents for a player/s for what ever reason, the player/s will be removed from the team sheet.
• It is the responsibility of the provincial leadership to ensure that details of players are correctly captured on the ENRTY FORMS, to be forwarded from the VSA office.
• Provinces will be informed via the VSA office of the date for the submission of all entry forms and identity documents. These must be scanned and emailed to the VSA office for scrutiny by the VSA Manco.
Eligibility of players to participate in the U19 IPT (both girls & boys) *The player must be born in: 2003 and after (for example 2004, 2005, 2006….
NB. Players born in 2002 & 2001 and earlier WILL NOT be eligible to participate in this event.
Further information will be cascaded to provinces over the next few weeks.
NB. The U19 South African teams (Girls & Boys) selected at the IPT will participate in the Region 5 Games in Zambia in December this year.
