TUKS women’s team in high spirit for the VSA Champs Cup

TUKS women’s team is determined to give it all out at the 2021 VSA Champs Cup. The team claims to be in high spirit, as such they will attack, defend and play with pride. The TUKS women’s captain Natasha Webber announced that the approach is to give respect to all their counterparts. “We will never underestimate any team and we will play to the best of our ability every time we set foot on the court”, Natasha said.

“As a team, our goal is to reach the semi-finals and everything beyond that is a bonus” Natasha added. Even though TUKS women’s team consists of more young athletes, Natasha believes that they can still try their best. According to Natasha “To be the best, we need to beat the best”.

Meanwhile, TUKS Assistant Coach Rudolph Du Plessis shares the same sentiments as the Captain by proclaiming that there is no one who will stop their way as long as the the team plays to their best ability with discipline and fire inside. Rudolph further expressed that TUKS is looking forward to participating at the VSA Champs Cup. “We are very excited to play in a tournament even though COVID-19 is still restricting us in so many ways,” Coach Rudolph alluded.
Tuks recently attained a silver medal at the highly  competitive Gauteng Tournament on which they were defeated by KAD Volleyball in the finals which somehow boosted their confidence before the champs cup.

Tuks, the Pretoria based team is placed in Pool A and it will lock-horns against TUT, NMU, Explosives and Burning Stars.
One may wonder if TUKS is indeed ready to reach the semi-finals or they will just be punished in group stages?
